On Saturday, June 9th, the Friends of New London Hospital will host the 7th Annual Grand Gala in support of New London Hospital and the Newport Health Center. This year’s Gala will be hosted by Honorary Co-chairs Joyce and Gary Lineberry and will be held at the beautifully renovated Newport Mills building overlooking the Sugar River in Newport, generously provided by Mr. Bill Ruger.
The Gala will feature a movie awards theme and include an elegant dinner by Rockwell’s at the Inn, live entertainment by New London Playhouse’s Carol Dunne and dancing to the six-piece band, ‘A House on Fire’. Paparazzi will be restricted behind the stanchions lining the red carpet as stars arrive for the celebratory evening’s events. The dinner, auction and dancing will take place among Mr. Ruger’s extensive antique car collection.
Grand Gala committee members working on this year’s exciting event include: Sue Campbell, Sage Chase, Sue Elliott, Donna Ferries, Susan Galligan, Lisa Gooding, Anne Holmes, Dusty Logan, Cynthia Marshall, Kathy Munro, Isa Rex, Carol Troy, Nancy Walters, and Tanya Wilkie.
